Welcome to Newmarket Nexus Youth Hub, a crucial space built to serve the young people of Newmarket, Suffolk.
The creation of our Youth Hub was fed by a pressing need for a safe, stigma-free environment where young people can come together without an agenda.
In most communities, there is limited options for supportive and secure spaces where youths can gather. The lack of such spaces often elicits heightened antisocial behaviour because there is nowhere to be.
Our Youth Hub facility hopes to fill this gap by providing a friendly and inclusive environment purposely designed for young people. Here, they get the opportunity to socialise, make new friends, and take part in different activities free from the pressures and expectations that other programmes tend to carry.
They’re hand in glove, with food and drink, comfortable seating, and various activities to keep them interested and entertained.
Providing such a space helps our town’s young people reduce antisocial behaviour by giving the youth a safe space to hang out in so that they do not have to be on the streets; thus, it reduces potential conflict and disruption. At the Newmarket Nexus Youth Hub, we encourage social interaction and personal growth.
